So I heard this rumor earlier this week that Clemson would be the 11th and final team to unveil the new Nike Pro Combat Uniforms and would do so against the Gamecocks. Apparently, you can believe some of the shit you read on Tigernet at the official press release was just issued and it’s twue, it’s twue! Yes, the uniforms are just as ugly as you may have dreaded. They do, however get bonus points for not bringing back the early 90s tiger stripe collars. Read the release here, and check out the uniforms in the attached PDF on the press release page. More photos after the jump. Oh, and try to not read the bullshit Nike copy in that press release unless you want to throw up in your mouth.
The advent of these new uniforms will immediately create a massive fissure in the Clemson fanbase separating the fans of the new uniforms from the ancien regime. Also it will give us an instant excuse if we drop an egg against Sakerlina. IT WAS THE UNIFORMS HURF A DURF.

Tell someone you know about Block-C this week. With it being Sakerlina game week, there’s going to be a lot of talk of Clemson around your school/office/den of iniquity this week and why not slip in a little mention of our site? We’ve got a very special project we’re working on and we need the help of you Block-C readers. We need a large, preferably hi-res photo of Danny Ford, preferably wearing his Block C cap. We need pictures of 80s era Ford, not current aged Danny. If you guys have an old yearbook, Clemson football book, or newspaper with an image you can scan (300 dpi if possible) and send in we’d be extremely grateful, and if we end up using the photo you submit we’ll send you some cool Block-C merch.
We’ve done a Google Image Search and can’t find any pics large enough.

The hat we have in our header image can be found at Judge Keller’s along with an orange version. You can purchase it online here. No trucker hats though, unfortunately. Might check in with Mr. Knickerbocker’s because they occasionally have the foam and mesh trucker hats that have the Block C on them. Hope that helps.
Block C,
I am curious as to what happened between Clemson fans and N.C. State Head Coach Tom O’Brien that caused the Clemson Police to delay fans from coming onto the field by three minutes [at the conclusion of last week's game].
Do y’all know what happened and if so, please post something on your blog.

Apparently some drunk fans (we assume they’re drunk, perhaps they were just ornery) went straight for Coach O’Brien after the game, got in his face, and made an ugly scene. I haven’t seen the replay yet, but it sounds like O’Brien didn’t have proper police protection (not that that’s an excuse for the dumb fans’ behavior). I think they were probably upset that he took all his timeouts with almost no time left in the game. This has caused Clemson to reevaluate its policy of allowing fans onto the field immediately after the game is over. They are now requesting that fans wait until the opposing team has gone to their locker room. Thanks, asshole fans, for helping to restrict a Clemson tradition.
