Connecticut won the National Championship, which means that 190 lbs of Bitchassness took home Block-C’s March Madness Fantasy Pick’em Title. However, had this lady been in our league she would have won by 47 points. Yup, that’s right, gentleman, she picked a perfect Final Four, Championship Match-up, and even the Champion based on mascots. Women, right? Anyways, here are the final standings for those of you who care:

Good Danny Ford, what a terrible weekend for everyone’s bracket except the lone person who picked Connecticut to win it all. Basically, if UConn does not win the whole thing then AParker has this thing wrapped up, but if UConn does win the title, then (the awesomely named) 190 lbs of Bitchassness is our champion. Here are the standings heading into the Final Four:

Here are the Standings for our March Madness Pick’em Pool after the 2nd Round (and yes, I know it’s technically the 3rd Round, but we all know that those first four games didn’t count and shouldn’t be constituted to have their own round, and yes, I also know that Clemson played in that round, but at least they won and can be counted as having played in the real tournament and not as a play-in game loser). So far, only four people have lost their National Championship winner and one of those teams lost in the 1st Round, so if you think your picks are sucking, you can thank the guy who picked Louisville to win it all and had his hopes dashed during one of the early games on Thursday. Also, if President Obama was in our league, he would be winning by 3 points. Seriously, he freaking owned the Round of 64 (check it out), but did about the same as everybody else in the 2nd Round. Oh yeah, the standings:

It’s that time of year again. Spring practice, allergies, losing an hour of sleep because of stupid daylight savings, the refs giving UNC every single call in an ACC Tournament Game, and March Madness Bracket Madness!!!! As always, Block-C wants to invite our loyal readers to compete against one another to see who is the best (and luckiest) picker of basketball post-season games. Line: UNC -2.5
Edge goes to:
Clemson offense vs. UNC defense: Clemson. The good news is that UNC’s rush defense is poor and their pass defense is good, so that plays right into Clemson’s strengths, also known to Clemson fans as “Clemson’s wideouts suck balls”.
Clemson defense vs. UNC offense: UNC. Until Clemson can prove they can stop giving up big yardage TD plays, their opponent has the edge.
Special teams: We’re going Clemson, neither has done much on special teams this season, but Clemson’s punting game is a lot better than UNC’s and considering Clemson will probably be punting a lot, that could make the difference in the game.
Intangibles: Push. It is a must win for both teams if they want to continue to contend for their respective divisions.
Our Panel of Crazy Cat Ladies Says:
Sambo: Tough call, but looking at UNC’s schedule, they really haven’t beaten anybody. Then if you look at Clemson’s schedule, they haven’t beaten anyone either, causing me to think that if all things look as equal as they do here, then Clemson wins. Why? Because I said so. And because Andre Ellington and, to a lesser extent, Jamie Harper are going to go off this weekend. On top of that, it looks like Dabo figured out that all his veteran wide receivers suck and he is now going to play the young talented ones and see what they can do, which has to be an upgrade over Xavier “Captain Drops” Dye. I’m predicting a random blowout win for Clemson, I’m just feeling it for some reason.
Clemson 35, UNC 17
