If you don’t have a baseball cap with razor blades on the back, knife aviators, and a bear claw necklace on at all times, you may be highly vulnerable to attack. Don’t be.

Good Danny Ford, what a terrible weekend for everyone’s bracket except the lone person who picked Connecticut to win it all. Basically, if UConn does not win the whole thing then AParker has this thing wrapped up, but if UConn does win the title, then (the awesomely named) 190 lbs of Bitchassness is our champion. Here are the standings heading into the Final Four:

Here are the Standings for our March Madness Pick’em Pool after the 2nd Round (and yes, I know it’s technically the 3rd Round, but we all know that those first four games didn’t count and shouldn’t be constituted to have their own round, and yes, I also know that Clemson played in that round, but at least they won and can be counted as having played in the real tournament and not as a play-in game loser). So far, only four people have lost their National Championship winner and one of those teams lost in the 1st Round, so if you think your picks are sucking, you can thank the guy who picked Louisville to win it all and had his hopes dashed during one of the early games on Thursday. Also, if President Obama was in our league, he would be winning by 3 points. Seriously, he freaking owned the Round of 64 (check it out), but did about the same as everybody else in the 2nd Round. Oh yeah, the standings:

West Virginia 84, Clemson 76
I think Andy Staples from SI.com sums it up best for the Tigers’ season ended. Take it away, Andy:
“The injustice perpetrated on Clemson this week cannot be excused and should not be forgotten. Because NCAA television partners CBS and Turner Sports (Turner Sports is in partnership with SI.com and runs the site’s business operations) — which will pay the GNP of a small island nation to televise this tournament — wanted two name-brand programs (Michigan State and UCLA) playing a potentially competitive game in primetime, 12th-seeded Clemson got stuck with a 12:15 p.m. ET tip Thursday. The Tigers faced West Virginia a little more than 36 hours after it beat UAB in Dayton, Ohio, in a new made-for-TV play-in game foisted on the viewing public and the playing teams this year.
Those television executives should have been forced to sit along the back wall of Clemson’s locker room as five Tigers buried their heads in their hands and cried after their 84-76 loss. Some network bigwig in a suit should have had to fetch a paper towel so Clemson star Demontez Stitt could blow his nose.
“It stinks,” said forward Bryan Narcisse, one of the few Tigers composed enough to speak.
The Tigers’ legs failed them in the second half. They raced to a lead early, but they couldn’t hold on. It might be a factor that they arrived in Tampa at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and slept until 11:30 a.m. Then they went to the St. Pete Times Forum for a brief shootaround that served as their only practice for the fifth-seeded Mountaineers.”
Needless to say, Clemson just couldn’t put anything together in the 2nd half and made a small run to get within three points with under 2 minutes to go, but the fatigue was just too much to make that final push. But still, we congratulate Coach Brownell and his team on their successful season. Now, it’s officially Spring Practice season (if it wasn’t already).
“At least Bobo will back next season. (Sigh)”

Clemson dominated the paint and completely outmatched a UAB team that had people wondering how they even got an at-large bid. Jerai Grant led the way with 22 points and 8 boards. Clemson started out on a 25-7 lead and seldom looked back. The Tigers will now have to turn around and play the West Virginia Mountaineers Thursday at noon. The game was marred, unfortunately, but the severe injury to UAB point guard Aaron Johnson, who broke his leg.

I’ve always been a huge proponent of saxophone appropriateness awareness. What’s that mean? It means being able to differentiate between upbeat, Weather Channel style day-sax, or “watercolors” as we’ll call it in the old XM Radio parlance, and the unbridled sexiness of night-sax. Oh, and yakkity-sax. There’s that too. But here’s this.
