Do I believe they could finally win a first rounder? I’m 76.8% sure they could. We’ll see.

i haven’t followed much big12 bball; please tell me mizzou doesn’t have a 1-3-1 D or some other obscure bullshit that we will be unprepared to deal with.
edit: Mizzou easily beat Illinois, and also has a big win over KSU. both of those were home games, and they lost a close one to Baylor at Waco. They have played a tough schedule but I don’t know anything about how they handle the press or what kind of defensive packages they use. If they lean more towards the zone, I’ll be worried. Any other input?

@4 They are a press team, more so then us actually. Believe in 40 minutes of hell. They are also really beat up and coming off a horrible loss to Nebraska

On paper, it looks like we rebound a little better than they do, which could help us with our “rain down a bunch of threes and pray one of the bookers can get an offensive rebound” offense.
Having Stitt and Young on the court should help us beat their press. Ball security is never really our problem though, it’s the dang circle the ball is supposed to go in that’s seems to be our achilles heel.

I think we win this one and gag in the 2nd round to WVU.

I think we gag in this one as that is what we have been doing the last few games.

…I have no idea about Missouri. I’ve never even heard of Missouri this season.
MISSOURI HAS BEEN IN STEALTH MODE THIS ENTIRE TIME DAMN IT. I should’ve listened to Ackbar…

So in other news apparently C.J. Spiller is a black version of Forrest Gump after proving his mastery of the Wonderlic by scoring a 10/50. Way to rep our business college’s Dean’s List C.J. :)

FUCK the Wonderlic. And FUCK that little twit who screams at the players while they rep 225. And FUCK Mike Mayock and his stupid-ass lisp. Spiller is Football Neo and the NFL knows it.

I visit this site frequently but this is my first post. I live in Missouri and have seen Missouri a couple times this year. They are a lot like Clemson. Hopefully the Mizzou team that played Nebraska will show up. They sucked. Other than that, their recent “success” has caused them to think they are the shit. Personally I hope we beat the fuck out of them like we did in Football when Justin Smith talked all that bullshit about beating us in the Valley.

Basketball sucks. I’m picking Mizzou just because Clemson has fucked my bracket the past two years (I’m still pissed about losing to U of M last year)

I wouldn’t put too much stock into Wonderlic scores, especially for a RB. Ben Roethlisberger got a 25 and God knows his decision making skills have been questionable and Quincy Carter got a 30. Meanwhile, Randall Cunningham, Dan Marino, Terry Bradshaw and Jim Kelly all scored 15. (I couldn’t find any info on RBs).
Humorously, the Wonderlic considers a score of a 10 to be “literate”, so at least no one can say Clemson has illiterate stars (can’t always say the same for that school down in Columbia, haha). I heard during the combine that Eric Norwood had a 1.8 GPA in high school; how did he get into any school??

Look, all of us who have seen any of C.J.’s pressers know the dude isn’t a rocket scientist. Knowing that, what this says to me is that athletes really have no excuse to have any academic problems. Spiller had over a 3.5 at Clemson, sure his major wasn’t the toughest, and no doubt he got a lot of help from some good tutors at Vickery, but he still had to pass the same tests and do the same homework to get the grades. Not too shabby for a guy who wasn’t born a scholar.

Fuck! A top tier SEC team beaten by Murray State. Fuck there goes my M series. I wonder if Murray was his first or last name? The only Murray I know is a blood shot alcoholic at the local Pub. Fuck!

top-tier SEC in basketball is the equivalent of top-tier ACC in football.
…however, if Gtown ends up losing, i will share your sentiment with the exclamatory “Fuck!”

@20 except they have a title contender (even hurts me to say it)
22AndrewTheTerrible
on Mar 18, 2010 at 11:38 pm:
true. they are a freshman-clad contender, though, and the meat of their schedule featured teams like georgia, auburn, and south carolina.
wisconsin is going to give them fits if wake doesn’t get to them first

@22: I don’t think Wake will beat Kentucky (not saying you did, just making a general point), but they have a better chance than I think alot of people probably think. Ish Smith is every bit as fast as John Wall and Aminu is a difficult match-up for anyone. Wake has some athletes that can harrass Kentucky, and I agree with you about Wisconsin. That could be a huge pain in the ass for UK to go up against if both teams make it that far.
What happened to the Big East??!? I thought they were the head-and-shoulders best conference this year but looked terrible yesterday.
