My dad and both my sisters went to PC. Their slogan while my sisters were there was, “It’s not the game, it’s the party afterward.” They meant it. Some of the best parties I went to were at PC . . . and they suck at football.

Way early prediction because I’m bored in the office. I think we get boned in a couple tough road losses this year, but rally at home with some key wins. Division hinges on the FSU game, which we lose and FSU wins the division. Although there is still a lot of offseason left for FSU’s players to get arrested, kicked off the team, or be otherwise ruled ineligible.

PC??? NORTH TEXAS??? Is TDP serious? Hell, I would rather lose to TCU, than win playing patsy teams that have no business stepping foot into Death Valley. I understand why we are playing PC, being the SC mandate that each D-1A school play lesser SC schools so as to keep some money in state and create “rivalries” (mostly in non-revenue sports), but hell, I’d rather start the season 0-4 with losses to Alabama, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Texas than to get patsy feel good wins against La Tech, Florida A&M, and the likes. Hell I respect Central Michigan more than either of those teams. And more importantly, the ticket prices for those games is going to be 30 some dollars, with the game over in the first half. Uggg

Not scared of North Carolina. Not one bit. Their defense was really good against shitty teams, but seemed to disappear in tight games not involving bizzarro Jacory Harris.
I love football games in Chapel hill – we kick their rear, then I drink their beer at He’s Not Here.

If we lose to the option for the third time in two years, we (the team, I know I don’t play) should be shot. GT = W

Not sure what to make of this schedule and our chances. As of 2/4 I’m gonna say it will break down like this:
North Texas – W
PC – W
@ Auburn – L
Miami – L
@ North Carolina – L
Maryland – W
GT – L
@ BC – W
NC State – W
@ FSU – L
@ Wake Forest – W
SC – W
Looks like 7-5 to me; I hope I’m wrong but I don’t have high expectations. I hope I’m wrong and we have a helluva season but who knows at this point. I’m pretty iffy on GT without Morgan, Dwyer and Thomas. I know Paul Johnson kinda just fits people to his system and rolls on but I’m not sure he’ll have a receiver again like Thomas that can bail out Nesbitt next year.

I like the looks of those first three games. As an Alabama alumnus, I bet Dabo will be at a fever pitch for the Auburn game. I’d love for Clemson to roll into Auburn and beat those guys; close game, blow-out, who cares. Just win!
That nine week stretch with no bye-week is just plain brutal. Of those teams, I see GA Tech, Evil BC and Wake giving Clemson a really hard time, especially Wake. Wake is due for an upset; if we get that far into the season with only one or two losses, the Wake game will loom large.

You guys could end up playing the 1, 2, 3 teams from the ACC Coastal. If you win all three and VT loses a game or two I’m all for making you guys champions of the other division. That Auburn game is going to be nice, please defeat the SEC.

I’m going to change my previous prediction that we would lose to Miami. That will be their third road game, the other two being at Ohio State and Pitt. If they win both of those then we’ll see but I imagine that’s going to be one beat up team by the time they come to Death Valley. We should be pretty fresh after the bye week so that looks like a W now to me.

There’s not a team on that schedule that Clemson can’t beat. With the exception of NT and PC there’s probably not a team on that schedule that can’t beat Clemson. I was not down with Dabo and I am still pissed about the lack of effort vs. the cocks(uckers) and the defense’s inability to make stops, but overall in retrospect I have to hand it to him. He had a pretty good season, considering that it was his first season, and did well in recruiting. For some reason, I just don’t think you will see Clemson lose to a team they lost to last year. Sure, some of it has to do with those teams losing some talent but I don’t think that Dabo will allow his team to be another team’s bitch two years running. I’d love to be 2-0 vs the ESPN conference.

@24 God I hope this guy sticks around and posts until the game.
If Auburns churns out such fast players, why were 2 out of the top 3 fastest 40 yard dash times at the combine from Clemson?
I mean, I know we can’t compete with dat dere SECSPEED, but we aren’t exactly slow… oh yeah you guys were second to last place in your division last year and barely beat a scrub big ten team in your bowl game. Consider me scared….

Hey Sean and welcome to Block-C. Thanks for your input, we really appreciate it. You know what? You’re probably right when you say “Auburn will destroy you best oline” and other poignant, well thought out sentences. Keep up the good work lil fella.
