College football season has made me hate ESPN and the homerism that was allowed in the broadcasting. That, and everytime I watch sportcenter I feel like half of it should be on TMZ.

and a half-court shot for $17,500?? Anyone remember that dude winning $1,000,000 at the FSU game (I think) a few years back for nailing that 30 yard pass into that Bi-Lo bin? Now that was a real fan challenge.

Anyone remember BILO having to file for bankruptcy a year or two later? It was totally awesome that we might have had something to do with that! Hope the dude took the lump sum!

@2 Whenever a company does a promo like that they have an insurance policy so that they only end up having to pay the premium, so it’s likely Bilo never paid anywhere near the million.

I worked for a golf course that forgot to pay the premium on one of those policies and had to cough up $30,000 for a car when some dude holed out from 185 yards. Epic fail.

Did anyone watch the Wake-Duke game this weekend? How satisfying was it too see the smug, taunting a-hole Plumlee kid get thrown on his hip by the Wake point guard? He better not try that shit with Clemson.
