• Looks like Tennessee snatched up Kevin Steele, reportedly tossing three times as much as he makes now in C-notes. Not surprising with the recent heat between Dabo and Steele. Also, I’ve heard that this could be due to the long standing fact that TDP is notorious for letting coaches walk out the door and not giving head coaches in any sport enough money to run their teams internally the way they should be run. Stay tuned folks. The CUAD is keeping mum on the subject until ink is actually on paper. It is now being reported that Kevin Steele will remain at Clemson. Some say he was offered 800k a year at Tennessee, up from his current 375k a year at Clemson, and that the Tigers provided a suitable counteroffer.

The seating expansion at Doug Kingsmore stadium is drawing closer to completion as the 2010 season looms ahead. I was afforded the opportunity to get a few shots of the stands the other day. Clemson is definitely doing a good job on spending money on Clemson baseball in terms of it’s fans and stadium amenities. Now that the weather is starting to clear up and the upstate is starting to shake this cold snap, the finishing touches should happen within the next month just in time for the Miami of Ohio game or shortly thereafter.
