Clemson defense vs. UK offense: Clemson
Special teams: Clemson
Intangibles: Kentucky. This is their third trip to the Music City Bowl in the last 4 years. Clemson could suffer a letdown as the Tigers’ bowl sights were much higher before dropping the ACC Championship Game and having the league fail to come to bat for them to secure a better bowl.
Our Panel of KRAMPUSES Says:
Willy Mac: As the gears grind to a stop on what many fans are considering to be a disappointing season (for some reason that escapes me), I think the Tigers are ready to pick up the pieces and start the momentum for next year. But as Chili states in his preview to follow, there will be a mountain to climb to get the win in Nashville. Ultimately, I think that next year is what our guys will be too focused on (yuck, it feels weird getting the Gamecock end of the deal this year) and we won’t finish strong. Plus the Wildcats are getting pretty comfortable with this end of season trip and will be okay. Oh yeah, we have four players out, two of which (Cumbie and Moore) did saw some regular snaps on the defensive line but that shouldn’t hurt us too much. I’m thinking we’re going to be behind at the end with one final shot to take the lead or tie and we blow it on a turnover.

Chili:I don’t know if this is Clemson’s toughest bowl test yet, as Gene Sapakoff is claiming, but I know it’ll be a formidable one for the same reasons he states. The Tigers are disappointed to be in this one, there will be little fan support, shitty weather, and a formidable team in Kentucky to contend with. Dabo is confident the team is prepared, but is it motivated? I find it hard to believe they will be down to a man. Kentucky will also be running that gimmicky wildblank offense that seems to give Clemson fits. I just don’t have a real rosy feeling about this one. Cats win.

If four players couldn’t make curfew then that shows our level of commitment to this game.

Thank you, CJ Spiller. It’s been one helluva ride. Damn shame it couldn’t have ended in the Orange Bowl, but at least you went out a winner.
Dabo had ‘em ready, for the most part.
And now for 8 months of hibernation . . .

Glad to get the win last night, but at the end of the game a bunch of our players were caught on camera chanting “ACC! ACC!” When I saw that, a part of me died inside.

EKR sighting. Did anyone see Willie run around Dabo after the game? Dabo’s facial was priceless.

@9 – He looked like a little kid running around. I literally said “What the heck, Willy…” to myself. It was hilarious!

@8 – I couldn’t tell which it was. I’m praying it was “SECOND,” as it’s the difference between pathetic douchebaggery and brilliant shitstirring. No in-between, really.
