I caught this passage in a recent article from The State:

Clemson backup Willy Korn has distributed his personal want ad to football programs of all divisions and prestige, including a list of references he said will vouch for the health of his right shoulder.”If you’re interested, please give me a call,” Korn said. “Quarterback for sale.”

Hey,have you guys heard the latest drivel from tardnet? Apparently they seem to think that CU actually has a shot at becoming a member of the SEC once the Big 10 expands and causes a ripple effect. Sounds like the beginning of another DSOT to me.

@1 -Thanks for the tip-off, mullet. Unreal. Why is it that the mentally ill have an obsession with the SEC? Is it the sequence of letters? Do they make a certain sound that is pleasing to the ear of a ‘tard? Regarding membership in the SEC, it certainly has paid off for USC. Hurf and f’ing durf.

So I live in Columbia, unfortunately, and one night after hearing all of the SEC shit they say here I did a little unofficial research. Most of it is fairly obvious.

Since 2000:
Heismans: SEC – 2, ACC – 1
BCS Appearances: SEC – 5, ACC – 3
BCS Titles: SEC – 5*( assuming bama wins ), ACC – 1
1st/2nd Round Draft picks: SEC – 125, ACC – 115

This year:
Total Offense Top 40: SEC – 3, ACC – 3
Total Defense Top 40: SEC – 7, ACC – 5

Graduation Rates – SEC – 60%, ACC – 70%

I thought it was interesting that as much as ESPN portrays SEC football to just be dominant across the boards, it’s pretty comparable to what other conferences are doing around the country. The Big 12 has 7 title game appearances, the Big 10 has 3. And we all know how flawed the BCS rankings are to begin with.

The one thing that should be noted is the SEC appears to be the premier conference for coaching: Saban, Meyer, Monte Kiffin, Les Miles, Petrino, etc.
