Our Panel Of People who are “fucking idiots and sunshine pumpers” according to Tom Says:

Chili: Matchups to watch here include Derrick Morgan versus our outside line, Clemson’s front four versus the GT o-line, CJ Spiller versus the world, and the most important of all: Dabo versus CPJ. While Dabo has greatly improved his coaching acumen over the course of the season, SO SAYETH GOD, Paul Johnson is a well-versed coaching machine. We’ve heard throughout the week about how difficult it can beat a team twice in a season, but I think seeing the Tigers again (albeit a Tiger team that works a bit differently than it did in the early season) plays greatly into PJ’s meaty hands. It gives him first-hand experience to judge the adjustments the Tigers made against his scheme. Coaching wins this one.

GT 37, Clemson 30

Willy Mac: I’ve been completely and utterly wrong on almost every prediction I’ve given you this year. That’s kind of a change from things as I’ve usually managed to stumble myself into at least a close score week in and week out in basketball and football the past few years. Maybe it’s just a down year for me. Uh, I’ve been busy. I, uh, had a minor case of cataracts and couldn’t see my key board too well when typing scores. All I can say is that they still looked good last week. We didn’t. They’re a better team with a better coach and better athletes. Hey, at least we made it folks. Let’s just hope for a Chik-Fil-A bowl bid.

Georgia Tech 27, Clemson 21

@1, I wouldnt say he is worthless, he makes more money than you and I do combined…

This game will come down to four things
    1. Harper has to play like he did versus FSU or Wake rather than the cocks.
    2. CU’s D must control the middle of the line. They’ve been gashed repeatedly all year up the middle.
    3. Protect the ball. Fumbles=losing.
    4. Creating turnovers. Nesbitt was 3 of 14 with 2 picks so he doesn’t scare anyone with his arm. GT uncharacteristically didn’t have any fumbles in their option game in the first meeting. Performing #2 above and disrupting the option will go a long way towards creating fumbles off the option.
As far as predictions go I’ll say GT 27 CU 24.

mine and AF770Tiger’s picks are at RDV, but I’ll say that we’re alot more positive than ya’ll for whatever reason( prob blind Dabo kool aid drunkenness)

The problem we’ve got is 3 major DL are out for the Clemson game – Hall, Anderson, and Peters. Could prove to be a major issue. We’ll see.

    Gotta agree with CUin1993.

    Tech:28
    Tigers: 10

not feeling it this week. Just crossing my fingers the Tigers don’t end up at music shitty bowl. Bowden’s retirement will fuck us.

  9. 9A770TigerNo Gravatar on Dec 4, 2009 at 7:27 pm:

Seems none of us are feeling it this week. I hope Dabo learned something last week and I hope he proves he’s got what it takes this week. This see-saw bullshit is way too fuckin’ old after 9 years of Tommy, so he better not start that shit too.

I’m going to say 28-24 Jackets. I think Paul Johnson is just too crafty for us to figure out. I hope I’m wrong but I think they’re the better team, but only slightly. Alot of our success could also depend on how well Hairston can block Morgan, because he made a fool out of Corey Lambert last time.

CU 35 GT 17 Tech over thinks everything – Palmer has a big day. Tech focuses on CJ and Jacoby.

@11: if that happens, i’ll tongue kiss the ass of the first dog i see on the street and post it on you tube.

  13. 13BradNo Gravatar on Dec 4, 2009 at 9:35 pm:

@11 agreed, Palmer is key to this game. Parker has got to get the ball to him early and often.

been trying to find the original blog post, but it was strongly stated earlier this season (after the loss to GT) that whoever matched up with GT a second time would come away with the W. Anyway, let’s stick to that notion: CU 24 GT 23

Several good interviews with Danny Ford in Tampa this week as he is being honored in Tampa tonight:

Also, Tommy Bowden will coach against Barry Switzer in a flag football game in Iraq for the USO. Former players Brian Bosworth, Garrison Hearst, Ty Detmer, Roquib Ismael (spelling) and Tee Martin will play in it just to name a few. It will be televised at halftime at the Fiesta Bowl.

To hell with all you doom and gloom Jimmy the Greek big thighs non-buoyant motherfuckers. Danny Ford and Dabo merge to become one unstoppable force: DANBO. Clemson grabs the lead in the third quarter and manages to hang on for the win. DeAndre M. grabs at least one INT.

    Clemson 30, Tech 27

Clemson goes to the Orange Bowl to face the Pitt Panthers. Oranges litter the field as, half a world away, Chili rattles his metal IPTAY cup on the bars of his jail cell in Turkey. USA! ACC! DC87 out!

  16. 16ChiliNo Gravatar on Dec 5, 2009 at 2:33 am:

I hope to hell we’re wrong. Also, I disagree with WM’s prediction on one point: they may be a better team with a better coach but I don’t think they have better athletes.

  17. 17CalmerThanYouAreNo Gravatar on Dec 5, 2009 at 3:15 am:

You fucking idiots. We win this game 38-28. How can you not pick Clemson’s offense against GT’s defense?

  18. 18ChiliNo Gravatar on Dec 5, 2009 at 3:31 am:

@17 You don’t appear calmer than anyone.

  19. 19thedabokoolaidNo Gravatar on Dec 5, 2009 at 3:58 am:

@18 he may be slightly calmer than mark mangino at a buffet.

15 is my favorite post in this thread. And now I really want us to win 35 to 17 so I can see JasonL’s clean a dogs butthole with his mouth.

@15, I got out of Turkey alive and intact.

I may not be more fired up up, but I’m damn sure fucked up enough to want to JasonL do a promo clip for the next Jackass movie.

Clemson wins 31-20. Gt doesn’t have anywhere near the defense of Sakerlina and Clemson showed (in the second half of the first meeting) that they can thwart PJ’s vaunted triple option…… Looking back on the season… We split with the best 4 teams we played (GT,TCU, Miami, & FSU) Had one play in each game gone differently we could have won all of them (or lost them all ‘cept for FSU-who I included in “the best 4 teams” because they ARE STILL FSU!!!! Dadgummit!!) WE were totally unprepared/played awful etc against Maryland and Sakerlina. We still had a shot @ Maryland cuz they REALLLLLY sucked this year. Sakerlina is actually pretty good this year (They hung tight w/ Fla. and ALABAMA.) When CJ returned the KO for a TD & we picked Garcia on his 1st series , I think everyone relaxed and figured it would be a blowout………Anyway, the gist of my post is that Clemson has the talent and coaching ability to play with ANYONE in the country. Even in the glory days of Coach Ford, occaisionally lesser teams (Think NC State) would up and beat us…sometimes badly. However, given time to prepare (bowl games etc.) Danny’s teams ALWAYS SHOWED UP!!!! Based on last weeks performance I can only assume (ok…hope) that we have spent two weeks prepping for GT and that we will SHOW UP!

  24. 24trueNo Gravatar on Dec 5, 2009 at 12:57 pm:

Derrick Morgan is beast ye say? Well, run the ball right at him. Make him the target of the Isolation/power plays. Make him the read on the veer. Allow him to get up field to set up draw plays and/or the inside screen package. And if that doesn’t work, kick him in the balls – that will absolutely work (just ask Paul Johnson – he said it on EDSBS the other day).

My prediction: Clemson in a nail-biter. Unless it’s GT in a nail-biter. Unless its actually GT in a laugher. Or maybe Clemson in a laugher. Basically I have no idea.
