Edge goes to:
Clemson offense vs. NC State defense: Clemson
Clemson defense vs. NC State offense: Slight edge, Clemson
Special teams: Clemson, but who knows with our kicking situation
Intangibles: Push – Clemson with momentum, but NC State due to trap game stipulations
Our Panel of ALLINSOLIDORANGEHURFADURFS Says:
Chili: Look Iàm typing this in a crowded, slightly smelly internet cafe in Siena, Italy full of dirty foreigners such as myself. I canàt even find the goddamned apostrophe on this foreign ass keyboard, so forgive me if Iàm a little out of sorts this week. I said earlier that I thought this game would be a trap game, and I stand by that. However I think that, due to the sloppy nature of last weekàs FSU game, the Tiger coaches will whip the team into shape over the course of this week and what was a possible loss will turn into one more gold brick in the gilded road to the ACCCG. Tigers roll.
Clemson 38, NC State 21
Willy Mac: This game does indeed have all the makings of a trap game. But… BUT… Somethings different. Somethings a miss. We have a ton of banged up guys. We have way to much to beat on our chests about. We’re dangerously close to the rest of the pack in the ACC Atlantic for a bid to the championship game. Still, there’s no quivering lip mentality to be seen from any one on our team. We’re playing sloppy, but we’re getting it done. What else can I say? It feels right. It seems that the mentality has actually changed for Clemson football. If Dabo can get the team to get us into the ACCCG, it’s the smaller victories they have to make sure they check off too and I think they realize that they’re going in to the Tobacco Triangle banged up and they need to play extra hard. We rally again and out gas the Wolfpack.
Clemson 45, NC State 27

Are you familiar with the EM-50 project we have in Italy? It’s a tank or something.

Not gonna lie, still don’t have a great feeling about this one. This is the exact type of game we have choked in recently. If we win this one I’ll breath a sigh of relief because I think – with the ACCCG on the line – we’ll handle UVA at home. Hopefully BC will lose against UVA and we can win and not have to worry about it against UVA.

CU 23 NCSU 18…..Game will be closer than it should be, unless……Clemson in a blowout 45-24. One or the other. Maybe…..

How about you make six other predictions and when the game is over, we’ll pick the best and congratulate you. Shit… I should do that.

lol. that’s what is funny about tigernet, and it sometimes happens here too. anytime there is a prediction, John C. Icannametwonumbers thinks its a good idea to share their thoughts with a score prediction.
My thoughts? sure, i’ll share. Clemson 57.9, NCSU -12

Clemson 63, NCState 3.
Spiller poops on Tom O Brien’s chest at halftime and they hand him the Heisman right then and there. Write it down.

Clemson 50 – seven TD’s: 3 by Spiller, 1 by Palmer, 1 by Ford, 1 by Ellington and 1 by Korn) 1 missed PAT and a FG from exactly 50 yards by DeAndre McDaniel with five minutes left in the fourth qtr, NCSU 20.
If Bowers was in the line up, I’d call it 61-13.
It worked for me last week so, what the hell.

DMAC intercepts a Sean Wilson pass and as Wilson trys to tackle him DMAC punches thru his chest ripping out his heart, holding it up while its still beating as he scores. Then in celebration, Branch skips over to Tom O’brien and gouges out both his eyes!

41-13 CU. We will start slow but turnovers and kick return TD’s will blow it open. Look for Mr. Spiller to roll to another 300 yard day.

TEXTILE BOWL:::::::::::::
Yeah…this game scares me, too. I think that Willy Mac has it right (despite his hatred of Regina & McGruff): years of Bowden flops have all Clemson fans afraid of what will happen next. When will the other shoe (or cleat) drop? Where’s the inevitable loss to Duke? I’m gonna be an optimist and say that this season’s Duke game already happened at Maryland. Clemson keeps it close in the first half and then pounds the Alpo out of the Wolfpack in the second half. Clemson: 35 NCSU: 16
Looking forward to irritating you knuckleheads in the open thread tomorrow!

WillyMac, there are several spelling errors in your post. All the “somethings” are spelled wrong, as is “a miss,” “quivering lip” and “any one.” Need to cut and paste the whole thing into Microsoft Word. Oh, BTW, Clemson wins.

Get your wolves up…
NCSU plays out of their ass coupled with a few untimely turnovers. Clemson remains composed and pulls it out late.
Repeat… The wolfpack is vanquished, but the Tigers DO NOT cover the spread.

Went to the game, I was concerned until about the middle of the third qtr, after that I felt pretty good. The place was cleared out by the state fans with 9 min to go in the fourth. I have to say the state fans are not bad losers compared to maryland fans. I am more concerned with the SC game and florida I hate them both but I was hoping Florida would blow them out for recruiting
