Whoa, we’re 22nd?? Not sure if I’d put us in the top 25 just yet – TCU will tell us alot. No reason to put us ahead of UNC and Michigan; the Heels just won convincingly over ECU and GT did beat us no matter how badly they did against Miami. Cincinnatti needs to move up and Missouri should stay in. I’d put UCLA in too, they are undefeated and beat what looks to be a fair UT team. My two cents…

Mizzou and UCLA slipped my mind. I’ll bump up UNC, keep Mizz at 23, keep Michigan at 24 and put in UCLA. Tennessee does have a good team. Also, I’d love to have Cincinnati higher, but there’s no room.

Miami should be ahead of Ohio St. in my mind. If not for preseason polls/perceptions they would prolly be top 3.

Agree with @1: The Tigers should definitely be 25th at the best.

Please take us out, we’re not good.

Our defense is top 10, our offense is bottom 10

I’m looking at the actual ESPN and USA Today Polls…the USA Today poll is so retarded. How can you rank BYU above Florida State after FSU comes into Provo and EMBARRASSES the Cougars? It’d be one thing if BYU lost in a close game @ FSU, but this was a straight up slaughter by FSU.

  8. 8ReedNo Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 7:10 pm:

Looks about perfect to me, Will. I seriously question Ole Miss, but until they inevitably fail, whatreyagonnado?

  9. 9joeNo Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 7:55 pm:

why did GT fall so much. If Miami deserves to be a top 10 school, then GT shouldn’t drop 11 spots for losing to a top 10 school

  10. 10Tom MNo Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 8:49 pm:

Looking at this poll, I didn’t realize it was Will who made it. I would honestly move up Ole Miss to #4, Miami to #5, Cal #6, and then your order.

I think Miami really means business. I suppose we’ll find out this weekend when they visit VTech. If they win this week against VT and beat Oklahoma the following week, that would mean they’ve started off the season with victories against 4 ranked teams. If that happens, I don’t see how you can keep Miami out of the top 3.

Seeing them play this way makes me nervous about visiting Dolphin Stadium later this year.

I don’t think we’ve earned a top 25 ranking yet, but betting has opened at Clemson -2.5 for the game next weekend, which puts us at pretty much dead even with TCU. Maybe put Clemson at 25?

I like Cal, but they were tied with Minnesota in the 4th quarter and had to rally late to beat them. That’s not exactly the way a top 5 team should play against a bottom feeder in the big 10…

This may come across as east coast bias, but I’d drop So Cal out of the ranking completely for that fuck up, just as a punitive measure. I swear like once a year, the whole team forgets its Saturday and are all on Newport Beach smoking weed and getting drunk, and Pete Carroll calls the QB in a panic like “FUCK WE HAVE A GAME IN 45 minutes GET TO THE COLISEUM!!!!!”

This doesn’t apply this year since they lost in Washington, but how the fuck do you lose to a team worse than Duke with all 4 and 5 star players and arguably the best head coach in the game..

  12. 12RichmanA2No Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 10:42 pm:

We lost to Duke not too long ago. I was there. It was pathetic. USC always drops one game, then goes on to clean house. I have Clemson out, and Ole Miss @ 18th. I don’t put teams in the top 10 who lose to Vandy, Wake, and Sakerlina in the same season. I think they are a joke.

  13. 13PenthouseTigerNo Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 10:48 pm:

@11, no Pete Carrol gets the Governator to call them and tell them to GEEET TO THA CHOPPAH!!!! i think the drop of SoCal to 10th is probably accurate, they’ll probably finish top 5 with a healthy matt barkley

  14. 14DanielNo Gravatar on Sep 20, 2009 at 11:34 pm:

Yeah, I don’t really worry about Pete Carrol and the fellas at USC. I think USC would have a couple of national championships if there was a playoff format and LSU and Florida might not have some of theirs. They are a young team this year and Aaron Corp looked pretty rough against Washington, but they still should have won that game. To Washington’s credit though, Sarkisian has done a great job there so far and Locker is a beast.

  15. 15ChiliNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 2:23 am:

@10 why does it matter who made the poll?

  16. 16Willy MacNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:01 am:

@9 – Because they lost in horrific fashion. They’re where they need to be.

@10 – Why does it matter who made it?

  17. 17JoeNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:19 am:

Still doesn’t make sense… USC loses to a horrible team and drops 7, G tech loses to a top 10 team and drops 11.
    Whateva, doesn’t matter.

  18. 18ChiliNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:36 am:

    @16, that’s exactly what I was asking.

  19. 19RichmanA2No Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:38 am:

GT is terrible. They shouldn’t be ranked. I think they will get beat a couple more times this year.

  20. 20ChiliNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:43 am:

FINAL POLL IS SUBMITTED, SHUT UP ALREADY

  21. 21Willy MacNo Gravatar on Sep 21, 2009 at 8:57 am:

@18 – I didn’t see that, but I’d like to know as well.
