@17, not the first time that I have seen adjustments made by a Clemson team, but it has been so long it just seems like the first time.
I not drinking any Dabo-Aid but I think Clemson has a good staff capable of figuring some shit out instead of sitting on the sideline looking another piece of grass to chew or which bubble screen to call next or thinking up new ways to get the current QB to regress in his skills. I am not happy about the L but I'm not pissed like I would be if the final had been 41-7. And it would have been with Tommy / Spence.

Dabo's first real test as a full time head coach and he loses by 3 to a ranked team at their stadium. Yes he made bad calls. Yes we gave up a ridiculous number of points we shouldn't have.

Here's to hoping this is a "welcome to the big times" game for Dabo and he ages a solid 10 years in the next 10 days. I'm optimistic about our newfound ability to adjust to what is being thrown at us, and trying not to be pessimistic about 14 retarded special teams points we so generously awarded GT on bad coaching calls.

Last night was the first time since I've been a Clemson fan that I saw us go into halftime down and make great adjustments on both sides of the ball to get ourselves back in the game. We came out and played awesome in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately, Tech also has a pretty good coach, so they were able to adjust to our adjustments and eventually take the game. But let's be clear on one thing, this does not resemble in any way, shape, or form, a loss from the previous regime. We played with a fire that I haven't seen in a Clemson team in a long time.

Does it hurt to lose that game after fighting so hard to come back? Absolutely, did we make some mistakes that we shouldn't have made? Of course, but last night has me more excited about the future of our football team than I have been in a long time. Call me what you will, but I am officially drinking the Dabo Kool-aid

Well if you two idiots watched the game last night, we pretty much just let them walk into the endzone on a terrible fake kick (re watch it, our D should of easily picked up on that) After we "faked" (I don't think anyone in the stadium was truly surprised we faked a 57 yarder except for Joe and Daniel here) a field goal a couple of plays earlier and pooch kicked it down the field, only to get returned for a TD. I don't know if Dabo was playing Madden 10 and saw that in the play book, but it was a stupid idea. Tech was playing like shit. They actually looked worse then Sakerlina, their QB even managed to pull out an 11.905 QB rating(which if our guy could of gotten a foot down on that end zone interception, he would of be at 0.0). And Swinney lost to that terrible GT team, with stupid calls from the Madden 10 playbook.

@13: I couldn't agree more. That really wasn't a bad coaching decision; Dabo can't tackle but those three guys he ran right past sure could've. I think we saw halftime adjustments last night that we haven't seen in years. That NEVER should have been returned for a touchdown. Granted I'm a little more willing to be optimistic because he's a new coach despite the familiar outcome, but I thought Parker we looked better than at many times last year. At least it appears the lethargy left with Tommy.

Man this is impressive, one loss to a number 15 team by 3 points and its time to fire Dabo. I think he did a good job last night. Our offensive play calling is pretty damn good now. Yeah he could have called a normal punt play on that quick punt, or the kicker could have used common sense and attempted to kick the ball to the correct side of the field.

We were down 7 points due to him not sniffing out the fake GT pulled off. The other 17 were players mistakes on the field.

Which ever sideline paul johnson was on was going to win that football game. While clemson's athletes rallied to make it a close game, the coaching put them in that position. dabo is a clown and was hired on a knee jerk reaction after beating an awful South Carolina team. I love Clemson and want them to win every time they tee it up, but have a feeling there will be many more disheartening losses with this regime. This is going to be very similar to Florida under the Zook era and Illinois now. All the talent in the world and awful coaching decisions hold them back. For those of you who don't believe caching doesn't matter look at what paul johnson has done at Ga Southern, Navy and GT. When he took these programs over they truly sucked and turned them all into 9 or better win teams only to have them revert once he left. Hell Bobby Ross took Tech to a national championship and SD to a Super Bowl with freaking Stan Humphries within 4 years after inheriting desolate programs.

The fact that Clemson puts so much emphasis on football and can only manage to muster the same amount of wins as Vandy is down right ridiculous. Hell vandy did it in a superior conference and by beating an ACC team in BC that we have struggled with. Oh yeah and their coach is a former Clemson player with Greenville ties and most likely would have relished the chance to come home to lead Clemson to the ACC title game and Orange bowl. While I pray we can finish 12-1, and have the talent to do it, I fully expect 2 or 3 more close L's this season.
