its still SC, they still play a pansy schedule, so preseason #4 is ok. They won’t win 10+ this year though.

The NCAA needs to make teams like Florida and USC play real schedules. Florida playing Charleston Southern. They should get demoted to number three just for playing that trash. They pulled that shit 3 years ago playing like Florida CC when they won that NC the first time with Meyer.

Yeah, @2, like Michigan with App State…. wait a minute…

  4. 4The Human CowNo Gravatar on Aug 21, 2009 at 11:09 am:

App State was a D-II powerhouse. CSU, not so much.

  5. 5ChiliNo Gravatar on Aug 21, 2009 at 11:45 am:

@4, actually D1-AA or, technically, Football Championship Subdivision, but I get your point.

So Cal has issues (a lot of turnover) on defense. Plus the Pac 10 is getting a lot stronger. They keep fudging it up every year…I bet they have 2 losses this year, between Oregon, Arizona, ASU, UCLA, or Cal…

Yeah exactly like michigan and app state. I just got my ticket to the first game of the season, western michigan. Its pathetic. They should ban BCS confrence teams from playing bs teams from the contintental mountain west conference. Then we’d really know who is the real champion. .

    Coastal Carolina?

  9. 9RichmanA2No Gravatar on Aug 24, 2009 at 9:45 am:

Yeah. I think it was Coastal Carolina they played a week before going to ATL for the SEC championship game. The first time they won the title with Tebow. I was on my blackberry and couldn’t type it right.

I’m sorry it was 06 and they played Western Carolina.

And USC plays a much tougher schedule then we do. They have 5 ranked teams I believe. We’re only playing 3, and that includes TCU, a team I don’t have in my top 25. They usually have a soft schedule, but its looking pretty rough for them this year.

    Better?

props for being one of the few that aren’t down on Kansas this year. They return Reesing, and there aren’t any major structural changes on either side of the ball. The prevailing logic seems to be: “welp, Mizzou is rebuilding and Nebraska miiight be better because it’s year 2,despite losing the builk of its offensive power, soo.. yeah KU suddenly sucks.”

  15. 15KyleNo Gravatar on Aug 25, 2009 at 6:19 pm:

I would call a lack of OL experience for Kansas a “major structural change.” It’s hard to be too high on Kansas when an improved strength of schedule last year led to an obvious regression in the loss column. Their D got worse last year too. They got smoked by OU, UT, and TTU last year and they have to play them all again. Of those three, Mizzou misses OU and Nebraska misses Texas. Kansas has to win one of those games just to contend in the North.

I for one would like to thank upside down uncle phil for that expert analysis of Kansas Jayhawks’ football

I have finally realized which team should be in there instead of Notre Dame. Cinncinati should be placed as the 25th team in the poll, as they are returning a good core of their team that played in the Orange Bowl, play an extremely balanced game (and here at Block-C, we know extreme) and have a quality Coach that WINS. Not makes excuses for losing to Syracuse, or blows out an island Nation team even though the score is already 49-14 and its only the third quarter and your still throwing bombs to prove your team might eventually amount to something even though you lost to SYRACUSE cause you SUCK
