TIGERS TO HOST REGIONAL

Clemson may have faltered a bit on the diamond in the ACC Tournament, dropping decisions to Duke and UVA, but their season resume was apparently strong enough to earn the right to host an NCAA Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The entire tournament field will be unveiled today at 12:30, we’ll have an update once we know.

***UPDATE*** – Thanks to CUVinny for the following:

Clemson Regional Invitees

1. Clemson (40-19)
2. Alabama (37-19)
3. Oklahoma State (32-22)
4. Tennessee Tech (30-22-1)

Can you tell the P&C’s Sakerlina writer wrote that piece? Damn I miss Larry Williams

I sure hope those damn Cocks don’t get put in our regional…

I like our chances with this bracket. Assuming we don’t play like we did against Duke or Virginia. Against Virginia the bat was glued to our shoulders

@4, I agree, and I hope we do start swinging the damn bats and stop being so timid at the plate…

Agreed. I like this draw. Having either South Carolina or UGA in the bracket could have been dangerous. Yes, they’re both on a slide, but they can ignite at any time. I like the Bama matchup.

Who the hell is Tennessee Tech??

  8. 8CharlieNo Gravatar on May 25, 2009 at 5:10 pm:

I saw Bama play earlier this season, pretty good hitters but not deep on pitching.

@7, that’s the team! Get ‘em!
