Looks like we’re in for a good one. Hopefully we can beat UNC to go play for the ACC Championship

This is going to be a tough tournement fr the Tigers, but we’ve beaten every one of these teams or at least have proven we can compete with them, with the exception of Virginia. I think the Tigers can make a great run for the ACC Title, but it’s going to be a rough, yet exciting tournement.

did virgina have two acc games cancelled or something?

I joined the “Football Fans vote on a Baseball tournament” poll.

Apparently if we don’t win, Bowden’s getting fired again.

  7. 7Willy MacNo Gravatar on May 20, 2009 at 9:11 am:

Half the people that voted are probably going to be sorely upset on Sunday.

  8. 8AndrewTheTerribleNo Gravatar on May 20, 2009 at 8:59 pm:

i think we got a pretty good draw for the tourney. we need some help with unc. i HATE duke but they need to get a W tonight to help us out (down 2-0 right now).

virginia is on a slow decline, and we ***SHOULD be able to handle that one with ease tomorrow night

@8 I agree, I’m pulling for the Dukies, but I don’t think they can pull it off.

  10. 10AndrewTheTerribleNo Gravatar on May 20, 2009 at 11:42 pm:

    nah, that was pathetic.

everything about duke is pathetic. fuck duke. fuck duke in the ass with a sandy pinecone. i fucking hate duke

I feel a royal bed shitting coming on.

Have the Tigers won one big game this year in any major sport? Seriously. It seems like every time we get an opportunity to prove ourselves we fall short. Last night was just another example.

  15. 15NoleCCNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 11:46 am:

I hate this format fwiw, even with FSU already in the title game.

  16. 16tygeNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 1:47 pm:

@ 14, we did beat the shit out of Duke in basketball, but that didn’t amount to anything since we followed it up by blowing a 19 point lead to FSU and a loss to Virginia two games later. Even when we do step up for big games, we immediately come crashing back to earth.

  17. 17CUTigersinDVNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 6:19 pm:

I told you I smelled a bed shittin’ coming.

  18. 18chris simpNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 6:32 pm:

This is ridiculous…We’re losing to Duke…Granted they are a better team this year, but we’re a better team than that, and we’ve stunk it up this week. I wish we could finish a season and not flounder like always…Oh well, NCAAs coming up, and if we can win that then the ACC doesn’t matter. OMAHA!

  19. 19SharpNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 6:38 pm:

Man…I tell you I’ve tried my best to be an optimist, but our sports teams and the post season bed shitting is starting to get old. Lost the bowl game, lost to Michigan in basketball, failed to qualify for the NCAA’s in golf, and now the baseball team comes into the ACC tourney red hot only to completely murder our chances at a national seed.

Good thing is we should still be hosting the regional.

  20. 20DanielNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 8:33 pm:

We’re not delivering in any sport. TDP needs to get some blame at this point. We’re probably the most consistently underperforming athletic program in the country.

  21. 21AndrewTheTerribleNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 8:37 pm:

i was thinking the same thing about tdp earlier. he is the reason none of our athletics teams have the drive to have a complete season. tdp licks hairy scrotum

  22. 22nc clemson fanNo Gravatar on May 22, 2009 at 11:53 pm:

I hate to say it but I skipped out of work to watch the debacle this afternoon. Why can’t we win something for once other than beating Usuc. It is getting to the point I can’t talk shit to any fan except Usuc fans. Also I agree at 21 he does lick it except in rowing

  23. 23PenthouseTigerNo Gravatar on May 23, 2009 at 12:08 am:

@22 yeah, rowing, the sport that coach howard once swore he would never support

  24. 24chris simpNo Gravatar on May 23, 2009 at 10:38 am:

@22 Volleyball has been doing well for the last 3 years, and so has Womens Tennis…But don’t get me wrong, i agree totally with your logic. The big 3 (football, basketball, baseball) just can’t finish lately. And you’re right, it’s nice to beat Sakerlina, but we need more than that to get respect nationally, cuz hell anyone can beat the chickens. I don’t know if it’s conditioning, psychological, or what, but all three teams just never finish.

  25. 25Dwight_Clark87No Gravatar on May 23, 2009 at 3:30 pm:

It really has been a roller coaster ride to hell. Bummed out about football and watch basketball, only to get depressed by basketball and then follow baseball intermittently…bleargh. Somebody write a joke about Korn; I’m too sunburned and drunk to do it myself.

  26. 26nc clemson fanNo Gravatar on May 23, 2009 at 6:06 pm:

I don’t know about a joke but how can we look good against a team that we should have trouble beating, but can’t beat teams that we should looks like the baseball team has the the football problem. Also that call at first base was bull shit and if I spelled anything wrong I have to blame it on the longshark lager

  27. 27nc clemson fanNo Gravatar on May 23, 2009 at 6:14 pm:

and thank thank God for the double play

  28. 28CUTigersinDVNo Gravatar on May 24, 2009 at 6:02 pm:

Hmmm…beat the hell out of Duke in basketball, choke down the stretch go out in the first round of both tourneys…

Claw your way into a first place tie in the Atlantic division in football and then choke against BC to get left out of the title game

Beat Miami in the Orange Bowl then lose to Duke

Play strong down the stretch in baseball, guarantee a regional hosting then lose 2 of three in the ACC tourney, 1 game an ass kicking at the hands of Duke

Get a 1 seed in golf then finish in 9th place

I know Dabo is a human catch phrase maker but I’ve got Clemson athletics new motto right here…”Winning big when it doesn’t matter, losing big when it does”

  29. 29Chris SimpNo Gravatar on May 25, 2009 at 10:45 am:

All I know is the slate is clean and the NCAA regionals are coming up, so let’s just put the ACC behind us and move on down the road to Omaha…I got my tickets and I’m ready to see who we play.

  30. 30Dwight_Clark87No Gravatar on May 25, 2009 at 11:07 pm:

@29, I agree with you. Now that I’ve sobered up, I feel invigorated! Bring on Tennessee Tech!
