They're going to have a hard time with Spiller. I think it became more and more apparent over the second half of the season that he is really a rare talent and they haven't seen many players with his combination of speed and agility. Yes, I'm officially drinking the Spiller kool-aid. If we can get Davis involved too then we'll win easily. I agree that this team does have a different vibe to it, and it seems that they really believe in themselves. Beating Nebraska would be a great way to end an otherwise dissapointing season and serve as a nice springboard into recruiting season and spring practice.

Thanks for the excellent analysis.

Under the Bowden tenure, I would always get nervous as the favorite. However, I truly believe there is new vibe to this team.

Agree with all the playa's commentary above. Look for a replay of the Champs bowl (Colorado) a few years ago. I think the defense will get very active (like the first half of the FSU game last year) and play with a crazy intensity.

Think small, win big.

If our defense shows up, I don't see us having any problems.

Yeah, I think most of the Big 12 is slow. I pick UF over Oklahoma and Clemson over Nebraska. The games I've watched Neb, I've been less than impressed. For some reason, even their field looks strange to me. Like some kind of pop-warner field with stands. Not really what I expected.
In any case, much like the Big 10, the Big 12 is filled with slow corn-fed kids that are used to grinding it out. If it were one of the "elite" teams (Oklahoma, Texas), I'd say other wise, but I think this might end up like the Clemson/Colorado of a few years ago.
Clemson starts big and keeps rolling. (but i've been wrong before...many many times before)

Nebraska sucks by the way. On paper we don't own them in any category, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us win by 7-10 points.

Clemson has a big nostalgia rematch against Nebraska in a New Years Day bowl and I'm more excited about the basketball team stomping Miami into the ground. Dare I say we're becoming a basketball school?

They do look a little slow to me... but the question as always is, how will our O-line hold up. We win this game as long as they perform decently
