Just make sure y’all watch out for Roy Helu. You’d wouldn’t think it from looking at him (which is what kills opposing teams), but I’m convinced he’s one of the 2 or 3 fastest players in the whole Big XII. What’s worse is he’s been on fire over the last 4 games (both running and receiving). He also happens to be the only guy I’ve ever seen out-run Lendy Holmes, and Lendy has run-down pretty much everyone in the conference worth running-down over the years. Good luck.

if later confirmed, this could lead to GT getting screwed over again dammit.

I’m happy about the Gator. This is going to be fun!

History (sort of) repeats itself. So does this mean Jim Tressel will eventually punch DeAndre McDaniel?

BC will get screwed again if they lose the ACC Championship. They always seem to be the red-headed stepchild when it comes to bowls. Bowls look favorably on teams that travel well though.

When did we get to be 8-4. I’m guessing the GA Tech loss didn’t count due to the shitty officiating?

@15: i was thinking the same thing. Actually, the win over SoCar was counted twice, as Clemson thoroughly whipped Spurrier.

I’m glad JD gets to go out on a New Years Day bowl. I just hope and pray our quarterback doesn’t take a 3rd and 8 BITCH SLIDE on national TV.

Bye bye, bend but don’t win defense!!!!

on Dec 2, 2008 at 10:01 pm:
I think Vic leaving is terrible. Doubt him if you will, but we have had a great defense under him. Every game we never know if our offense will show, but we could always count on the big D. i just hope that doesn’t change…

on Dec 2, 2008 at 10:16 pm:
Vic’s resignation is immediate and he is currently looking for other coaching jobs. You can’t discount his numbers, but his style didn’t jive with what Dabo wanted. Dabo wants a blitzing, leave the corners on islands type defense. Not a zone keep everything in front let the offense make mistakes type deal.
25Willy Mac
on Dec 2, 2008 at 10:19 pm:
@24 – So Blackwell steps up I guess? I’d prefer the blitzing defense myself.

@25 Outside hire I’m assuming and hoping. There’s two unbelievable defensive coordinators from little ole Dillon, SC and one of them is currently jobless.

on Dec 2, 2008 at 10:37 pm:
The articles mention VK as being gone immediately, but sticking around til the Bowl game, which I didnt quite understand.
Anyway, unless it was given to Blackwell I’m expecting an outside hire.

I was really hoping that Charlie Weis’s fat ass would have gotten fired and Notre Dame cleaned house, b/c then John Tenuta would have been available. Would he have actually come to Clemson to coach for a 39 year old head coach with the name Dabo? I don’t know, but it would have been a good hire if it could have been made.
Also, do you think that Dabo would fire Brad Scott and ask Danny Ford to be his offensive line coach? And if this happened, do you think that Danny would have asked to be paid in booze and Mac’s cheeseburgers and onion rings?
