One can’t help but wonder about this guy’s motivations for such a statement. Block-C probably got it right; however, other options include:

1) Ann Bowden refused his romantic advances;
2) Tommy Bowden refused his romantic advances; and
3) His own hand refused his romantic advances.

What’s more disturbing is that this is the best he could come up with in 10 years, and that he thinks Mrs. Bowden reads Tigernet.
