If there ever was a year in recent memory that we should have had a legitimate shot, this was it. Had we not pissed down our leg two straight years to the f-cking Hokies we could have been possibly looking at a 3rd trip to the ACC promised land. We have long long been referred to as an "SEC team playing in a basketball conference" with regards to our tradition, facilities, etc. There is absolutely no reason we should not be able to at least win our division every now and again, let alone the conference title. I don't remember Tirico saying we couldn't win on a national level before the season when we were ranked 9th. When teams with very little historical success such as Wake Forest and Louisville are meeting each other in BCS bowls we should expect to be there too. Tirico needs to keep his yap shut.
