I am a student here at Clemson and I spent the night camping on the concrete outside the stadium for GA Tech Tickets in the rain. I also camped for the Alabama disappointment. To be honest I dont know if I'm willing to put myself through sleeping on concrete just for decent tickets again. Maybe for the Carolina game, because well, at least they suck too.

The parallels between Donnan and Bowden have been brought up before and are spot on. We're going to be doing a post about it soon.

Since last season I have been thinking of the similarities between Clemson under Bowden and UGA under Donnan. They both get great skill players and win just enough to hang around, but never get over the hump as Charlie so aptly put it.

I also recall that the Bulldogs under Donnan were poorly conditioned and injury prone. Could conditioning have anything to do with Clemson's injurys?

I'm going to start going to Savannah State games. They wear orange, they're the Tigers, they suck, but they're only 5 minutes from the house.

I told my wife last night that I have come to accept losses as small steps to ending Bowdens stay. They are more tolerable that way.

I think Bowden is not above firing Spence, but only when Bowden's job is really on the line. Keep in mind Bowden fired his own brother in law Jack Hines a few years ago to save his butt, so I don't think he's not above firing someone he's not related to in order to save it again. Same goes for Brad Scott. But it comes down to whether Bowden is given an ultimatum. If he's given one, he'll fire anyone and everyone to save himself.

But then again, firing Spence is only a diversion, a stalling by Bowden which will only prolong his tenure at Clemson. Don't buy into the "fire Spence" outcry -- Bowden is the core problem and must be removed from office. Otherwise, nothing will ever change.

Like a friend of mine says, Tom Bowden=Jim Donnan. He can recruit and get you to the hump, but never will he get you over it. Bowden won't fire Spence, but I do see him taking over play-calling just because he knows the season is tanked and its his job on the line.

But in all my years watching Clemson I never can recall an offense playing as bad, even in games where we were shutout.

Now I'm regretting buying GT tickets, I'll be traveling all the way from Louisiana to watch us get beat by 35 points when I shouldve just kept my LSU-SC tickets.

All any of us can do now is voice our dissatisfaction to TDP and Barker. Everybody should write a letter, telling them (respectfully) of our problems with this staff and what we want done about it. Tell them to hire the meanest sumbitch they can find, and we dont give a shit about academics in comparison.

I usually try and make it to one game a year (being from Louisville KY makes it a long haul and I'm an old crotchety man nowadays). However, this year I haven't even made an attempt. I thought that maybe a win at Wake would change my mind, but after watching this lackluster crap, I have given up trying.
Maybe a new coach will be more fun to watch. This is brutal.
I'm just sorry to watch JD and AK's NFL stock take a downturn. I'm sure CJ is kicking himself for not picking UF. I bet his mother reminds him daily...

Yeah, I feel the same way. I feel strangely relieved today that we went ahead and put ourselves out of contention early this year and didn't drag it out until the last ACC game or next to last and had everyone's hopes up. Plus, it looks like a change-is-a comin', which is a plus. I liken Bowden to a middle relief pitcher, he has done a good job in some ways, set us up with some talent but we need a closer to come in and seal the deal. Not even winning the Atlantic Division is unacceptable at this juncture with the teams we've had and been playing against. I could if FSU, Miami and VT were in the same state that they were in the late 90s and early 2000s but not with the shape the conference is in now.
