USC should drop more than 6 spots, Florida to about 15
Wake should drop out. they lost to navy.
navy.

I’m not going to drop Wake all the way out, only Clemson gets that sort of knee jerk precipitous drop, I’ll drop them down a few more spots though. I’m not moving SoCal down anymore because there’s no fathomable way USF, BYU, UGA, or UF is better.

Virginia Tech over Georgia Tech since they did beat them head-to-head.

why is WF 17? Come on. Alabama #1. They beat #3 and #9 Clemson (hahaha) but seriously two “top ten” teams and OU has raped a bunch of cupcakes. Alabama, clearly #1.

Bama is definately #1. Oklahoma will fold sooner or later (no pun intended… haha. look at me, i made a funny!!!!!) and you have texas ranked too high. Also, penn state should be higher.

VT over GT. I like Wake at that spot. Penn State maybe in the top 10

OK, Bama #1, which I disagree with but will go with consensus.
edit: wait, nevermind, I’m not ranking Bama #1.
VT leapfrogs GT.
Wake will drop a few more.
JasonL, where will Texas go? TT doesn’t deserve to be higher than them. I’ll bump Penn State up a couple more.

Please Please Please do not but Alabama number 1. While I’ll agree that they did beat a very good Georgia team (and by very good I mean on paper), it doesn’t elicit a top ranking. UGA has shown a lot of holes in their game, playing a very close game to USC (who lost the week before to Vandy) plus they are playing with a very young offensive line. Bama should have won that game hands down.
Wake Forest definetly needs to drop a few more, I agree with that. Also, Georgia Tech needs to be removed for Boise State. They tromped Oregon last week, won again, and are undefeated so far into the season. They are definetly deserving of being ranked. Just my thoughts…

What the hell has Oklahoma done to merit #1? Just compare the two teams and who they beat and logically Alabama goes #1 over Oklahoma.

TBIAM, It’s Rob Spence, by the way, with a “c.” Also, don’t get too riled up about the blogpoll. It’s a poll that literally counts for nothing. Has no bearing on real life. Let it go man, I listened to some of your suggestions and took some, and ignored others. It’s alright, man, take er easy. The season will sort itself out. For now OK gets #1 by a nose.

Fresno’s quality wins are…
Wisconsin’s quality wins are…
I dropped both of em out of the top 25.
I think Va Tech needs to be a bit higher, agreed.
Penn State is a top 15 team but they have ONE good win, at home, over an Illinois squad that is turning out to be quite pathetic.

Wake shouldn’t drop a whole lot. They lost to a really unique scheme in an obvious letdown situation.
Bama over Oklahoma. Make OU earn the #1 slot against Texas.

@ TN: I just sort of think dropping, say, a Wisconsin, who was #10 in our poll last week, all the way out because of an upset loss is extremely reactionary. Clemson got that sort of treatment but only because it was an indicator of another typical Bowden campaign.
Fresno was in our poll at the behest of our readers, who fucking LOVE fu-manchus. They won, so why move them out?
I can see Boise maybe making its way in.
Illinois is not what some thought they’d be this season, though their only losses have come to ranked Mizzou and Penn State.

Chili,
I guess I am being overly subjective.
I soured on Wisky b/c I watched their game against UM. That team is slow and not able to move the ball. I additionally soured on Fresno as I watched them play UCLA, and as such, devalued Wisky’s only good win. Fresno beat Rutgers (terrible) and UCLA (horrible). Wisky’s “hang your hat” win is Fresno.
I know another team who beat an unranked team who will probably go to a bowl, yet lost to a ranked squad.
Illinois gave up 52 to Missou, and 38 to PSU. They struggled to beat Louisiana Lafayette, AT HOME, 20-17.
Maybe I am too resume based, but if you don’t have obvious NFL talent or a good gimmick (Wake), I have trouble going off anything but resume.

Either Penn State should be higher or Missouri lower. Penn State’s schedule is weak, but they did pound The Beavers, and they fared better against Illinois than Mizzou did. Really, it’s impossible to tell much about these Big 12 teams. None of them have played anyone yet (save Oklahoma). What else is new. We may have to wait for the BCS title game again…
Yes, they did pound the Beavers. (sorry, just wanted to say that again). Beavers.
